Pete Smit

The driving force behind VisionSmiths. The "Master Smith" so to speak.

Pete grew up in country Western Australia but has made Sydney his home since 1997, after spending two years in London.

It was in London that he started working with Harley-Davidson and over the next decade, in the UK and then back in Australia, he worked in a wide variety of roles in both the retail and distribution side of the business;  eventually ending up managing Australia's largest Harley-Davidson importer/distributor for 5 years.  His marketing qualifications and experience with one of the world's most revered marques provided him the knowledge of what it takes to build and manage a brand who's customers are so passionate they willingly tattoo it's logo on their body.

Beyond bikes, design, in all it's forms, and the innovative use of technology has always been Pete's passions. His passion for design and his desire to test if his self taught design skills could match it with "real designers" led him to complete his Post Graduate Diploma in Design (with distinction) in 2005. In 2006 he got the fantastic opportunity to manage the design, construction and launch of the new Fraser Motorcycles Sydney store, which set a new benchmark in Australia for Automotive retail and won Belle Magazine's "Best Commercial Interior Award" in 2009.  It was from this project that VisionSmiths was born.

From the start VisionSmiths goal has been to offer clients an innovative, holistic and flexible approach to creating compelling brand experiences.  A goal achieved through close collaboration with a network of talented designers, developers, engineers, builders and suppliers.
